Rays of Light ![]() The picture to the right, was taken in the church of the Fifth Apparition at Tulpetac, Mexico. Below are two photographed copies of pictures from pages of magazines from Mexico. They appear to record the wondrous event of light falling across the picture, yet much of it , if not all, appearing to originate from within the picture. The second copy places the light rays in the context of the mitred persons before it. This photograph may be capturing "En ese mismo momento..." (see text below). From the pictures and text here, it would seem that it was a miraculous happening, whether resembling sunlight, or real sunlight, directed as if beaming from inside the picture. It is something to contemplate. ―John Riedell
There was no logic to its appearance. Translation: On the 16th of December, 1979, there was a big event. The plaza of the town of Tulpetlac overflowed with approximately some 40,000 faithful, coming from various parts of the Republic of Mexico and other countries. More than 100 priests and a dozen bishops, and His Emminence Senor Cardinal Primate of Mexico Don Ernesto Corripio Ahumada presided at the celebration. At 12 o'clock midday, the Eucharistic celebration passed normally, without incident. Meanwhile the Cardinal pronounced his historic homily in which he said, among other things, "In this way Holy Mary has wanted to make herself known and present to us, as a river. She communicates that light and that love, flowing forth of this endless spring That is Christ Our Lord. She came to all and was able in this way to extend the reign of God to all of us. This is what we're going to realize, the promise of recognition: to proclaim Mary, River of Light, River of Love. " At that same moment all present, witnessed a thing unheard of, the appearance of a ray of light that alighted on the image like a River of Light, and according to the commentary of many, they treated it as a miracle. Because of the position of the frame and the hour of the day, there was no logic to its appearance. |
